Kangana Ranaut Bollywood Journey (From Himachal Pradesh To Mumbai)

We all know the fact that Kangna Ranaut is a self-made person, she has made space for herself by taking on every convention that's come your way. Every step that Kangna made in her journey has been in full public view. 
She has chisel her identity in front of all of us, she also compelled us to stop to think and to reassess how we think and look at things. She is an accomplished actor, she is an outspoken feminist, beyond her acting she has guts.

Kangna doesn't have sugar daddies, not a star daughter. So how a small town girl become the top  Bollywood with any support of any kind. She said 'The journey has been a roller coaster ride for me'

Here what's she said during an interview

"I grow up in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, in a small village, come to Mumbai to try her luck like so many people do. I have tough times like any struggler has slept on the pavement and have no food to eat".
Kangana has been through a lot, esp because she has had no support from her own family. No contacts in the film industry, nepotism rule does not work here. But she has done it. There is no other Bollywood superstar actor with curly hair, she has a very distinctive beauty and courage that makes her what she is today.

She has this unique self-confidence when her father scolds her she said 'you better to be nice to me because someday I am going to be famous'. she was just 3 at the point of time.

As any typical middle-class family, Kangana parents told her, that you should know the house chores otherwise your inlaws don't take you in their home.

'The girl child is seen as a liability. The only expectation is that you grow up as a presentable young woman who can get a decent spouse'. I didn't see myself as a liability. I didn't see myself as someone who is you know whose purpose of life is just to find a good enough husband. I saw myself as much more than that.

She was a middle child, She had always been told that 'you are very lucky because you got a brother after you', you are a very lucky child.

I think that sort of really want to know about who I am as an individual like other than just bringing a brother into the world. What difference I can make to this world? So I think that became my motivation. This happen s to every girl child you know in middle-class families, esp in the north

But Kangana took it to heart. She had decided that she will do something big, she doesn't have a concrete plan than but she has decided she will not live her life like that.

She hasn't been decided what she does in life and acting was not even in the picture because from the background she came from, acting can't even be considered as a profession

Sometimes I see these colorful pages in the newspaper and wonder because I used to study science and wondered, where these people come from? Why do they look so different than others?

I never even touched lipstick in my life because my mom never really wore any lipstick or make-up, their beautiful faces, for me it just an alien world.

The most startling story about her growing up years when she was 15 years old, her father slapped her and you actually turned around and said to him that 'if you touch me again, I'm gonna slap you back'.
I was quite confident of myself, I had a mind of my own. I like that fact that my father had a lot of expectations from my brother and I probably wanted to be that person that could be proud of and who could be her own hero, yeah that led to many incidences including my running away from my house.

Just to prove to everyone what she is made up of, she ran from her house and moved to Chandigarh, In 2003,  She was just exposed to the city life,  she said 'being with girls who speak in English, who wear shorts and who smoke without wardens permission, and I was like, OK this is what I want in my life, this is what I want to be'.

She took part in modeling competitions the first runner-up in the 'Ayur Face of The Year Contest'. But there are no jobs for her because she is too young for the jobs. She has faced failures after failures during that time, that was the most disastrous time for her, she even tried her hands in painting, which she said was the very bad idea.

She then went to Delhi, and joined a theatre group called 'Asmita' and Arvind Gaur was her first acting Guru. He was very much impressed with her acting at that time, now she wants to do more of acting because there she found one place where someone appreciates her.

But later here Guru told her that there is not that much amount of money that you will get from theatre, if you really want to do something in this field you should move to Mumbai.

So Kangana moved to Mumbai, she said 'I did almost 25 auditions every day and rejected in the night.'

 But one day she got a role which Chitrangada Singh was first doing but as she quits acting for
some reason and finally Kangna got her first break in a movie named 'Gangster' (2006). which was her debut movie and we all know the rest of her remarkable story.

I wake up very early, 6:00 to 6:30 am. I do stretching exercise, some sort of activity. Yoga, cross fit or lashes. whatever I feel like I do that activity. Exercise for 30-40 minutes.

You have to be active all day because just walking is not an exercise, its the basic need of life. Its like eating or breathing.  Scientifically its been proved that you cover a number of steps, like 10,000 steps every day to have basic metabolic activities kicks in your body. Walking is the most essential and basic routine I follow.

Kangana Views on Eating:
I don't subscribe to that theory that you have to eat every two hours or every 3 hours. Its okay if you are hungry you can wait for its fine, If you got something around you and you want to munch on it, have a bite, that's fine too. I think one should not stress too much about meals. 

I Always carry lip balm, lip color, and Matt Foundation

When I get time, I feel its important to apply a face pack. It could be Ayurvedic like Multani Mitti and some hydrating pack. Apart from that, I moisturized my skin well.
Tips
You need to understand your skin type, there is so much makeup and you when people recommend you something you feel, oh that's exciting, let's go buy this, But you have to understand if you have really dry skin, you have to know what works for the dry skin.

Wear minimum make-up, don't let it bleed, you should focus on eye-make-up, maybe a nice eye-catching lip-color but don't really thick base which is rubbing-off everywhere and bleeding you know.

Kangana Ranaut On Getting Married
In her initial interviews, Kangana was completely against marriage. She even doesn't understand the fact why two people actually decided to live together for their whole life.

'She said companion is very important and I love to have somebody with me but marriage is not so important as important it is made to look sep for girls I see it as a very very big problem because they are never encouraged to be somebody or to do something like men is encouraged.'

For my companion, I don't have any high expectation. I am very practical when it comes to dating, somebody who is honest and he is doing fairly well in his career whichever career he chose he could be a postman, I don't care. (laughing). I want somebody who is very honest and very sensitive not just towards me but towards everything around.

In her latest interview, she had changed her mind and ready to marry the right guy who understands her, here what she said: 

I am ready to marry someone now. "In my earlier relationships, I felt that I was treated like a safety net. Like, someone who was just there always. It was not that, I have nowhere to go. Just because I have not signed a legal contract doesn't mean you know. I just feel that to have that evolved relationship, is I mean one has to be very fortunate to be able to afford that and to know that your man is coming back to you not because 'he has to' because
'he wants to'.

In India, its really hard to communicate with people in big cities like Mumbai & if you are going to be a movie star its much more difficult to communicate with Bollywood fraternity. But for small-town people, where still knowing English is as significant as in big cities, its a big hurdle for people from small town to overcome and Kangana did that, here how she learned English, her views:

"For me like, my approach is that let this not be an obstacle for me, let me go beyond that.
