Jeff Bezos was born on January 12, 1964, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Curr age in 2018, (54 Years) His mother, Jacklyn Gise Jorgensen, was a teenager at the time of his birth. and his biological father is Ted Jorgensen. When Jeff was four years old, she married again to Cuban immigrant Mike Bezos.

He came up with Amazon Business plan while making cross country drive from New York to Seattle. He initially setup his office in his garage (The rented house of Jeff and his wife) along with few employees. He insisted on getting desks made from doors to save money and later it becomes part of Amazon mythology. The initial name for his company was Cadabra.com, taken from the magician phrase, "abra-cadabra".
Just form the beginning, Jeff has this idea if you focused on one product category on the internet you can offer everything. They finalize their first best product to sell online as "Books".
The company began as an Internet merchant of books. In the starting stage, Amazon.com sold books across the United States with no press promotion and then continued on spreading its roots to more than 45 countries, bringing in $ 20,000 in sales per week by late 1995.

So Amazon gets more traffic that means it can offer more products at lower prices which in turn attracts more customers", The flywheel builds momentum and becomes unstoppable.
In 1997, The company floated on a rising stock market only two years after it had opened for business. Amazon hardworking staff have all had given stock options when they joined and everyone gave their best, working long hours to help company rise and rise so in turn they will get rich. 'That's is what we have in our mind', one of the staff member has said.
Initially people are very nervous about online shopping, the idea of putting their credit card detail into little box on screen was worrying. At first Amazon setup call centers to take down the credit card details of timid customers but most soon got used to the online routine.
Satisfied customers were persuaded to move from books to toys, CD's, Videos and more as company expanded its range. The company become a giant retailer but Bezos decide it could be a marketplace at the same time, that would be a way to spin's Amazon's flywheel even faster.
Bezos would get more value from website and its warehouses by offering outsiders the chance to sell their product on the website and use the warehouses to store and dispatch them. Its called Amazon marketplace.
